‘Veil’ is a shoegaze noise act based in Portland, Oregon with whispery 50’s garage leanings & electronic elements. While still in its younger stages this project boasts a promising future. With no discernable EP thus far but a collection of magic uplifting strong songs there is no reason why you shouldn’t eat a slice of this pie while its new & you can taste the apples while they are still tangy and exclusive. Veil consists of “Bobbi Wilson”.

There are 808 sounds, synths bent out of shape & ambiguous lyrics to feast upon on the track “Shadow Living” which make me want to roast the closest bowl to my sound system. This is some excellent Psych/Gaze & you would be completely off your face to not enjoy this. Let it dribble down your neck and lull you into a sense of harmony with the universe. I could compare this to ‘Beach House’ but thats because its the only reference point I have for such a sound due to there being a void where my knowlege of music is.

Here we have a track called ‘Sky Is Falling’.  Again with the 808 sounds but with floaty guitars and synths this time. This track needs to be played live with a full band. It will be fooking magical.

Music journalism is an exact science so due to this mechanism I can totally say that ‘Shadow Living’ is the best veil song that exists because of course music journalism is air tight and not subjective at all. Again this project is still young and I am exited to hear a full length album or see a live show. You can’t be harbouring such floaty music and keeping it from the live stratosphere without me calling you a selfish bastard.
